The Outer Banks Running Club is a non-profit organization located in the Outer Banks of North Carolina. The club sponsors races for local, state, and national walkers, joggers, and runners. The club promotes a healthy lifestyle for all ages and encourages new members to join the fun.
Annually on July 4th, the The Outer Banks Running Club presents the Killer Dunes run! The Killer Dunes is a two-mile course on the tallest natural sand dune in the Eastern United States! Attracting runners looking for a “unique” challenge, and drawing a very competitive field, participants are also welcome to walk the course instead (not just a “walk in the park” though). All proceeds benefit Friends of Jockey’s Ridge.
