Upcoming Events
April 16, 2023 – Quarterly Beach Clean-up
In partnership with the local Surfrider Foundation, meet at the Soundside parking area to help clean up the beach, trails and parking area at the park. 4:00 p.m.- 6:00 p.m.
April 21, 2023 – Star Party
This Statewide Star Party is being hosted on Earth Day weekend at Dowdy Park! Come out Friday evening to help staff our Friends of Jockey’s Ridge table at Dowdy Park and enjoy this fun sky watching event.
July 2, 2023 – Quarterly Beach Clean-up
In partnership with the local Surfrider Foundation, meet at the Soundside parking area to help clean up the beach, trails and parking area at the park. 3:00 p.m.- 5:00 p.m.
July 3, 2023 – Killer Dunes Race Packet Pickup
Friends of Jockey’s Ridge will need help with sign-in/packet pickup.
July 4, 2023 – Killer Dunes Race
Friends of Jockey’s Ridge will need help with water stations, handing out finisher medals and ice pops, and other race day tasks the morning of July 4th.
August 15, 2023 – Dune Day
Dune Day is the annual Friends of Jockey’s Ridge event celebrating Jockey’s Ridge. There will be numerous opportunities to help on this fun day. More information to come!
September 3, 2023 – Quarterly Beach Clean-up

Dune Maintenance – Dates TBD
Cleaning up and maintaining sand fencing with the Outer Banks Women’s Club and Manteo Women’s Club
